Army Painter

«Army Painter» — это европейская компания, специализирующаяся на производстве акриловых красок для миниатюр и других модельных аксессуаров. Эта фирма создана настоящими фанатами своего дела, за спиной у которых не только десятки покрашенных армий, но и многолетняя работа в различных компаниях, занимающихся модельным хобби.

Целью работы компании » Army Painter» стал призыв «меньше работы и больше игры». Этот лозунг отражает взгляды ее основателей, согласно которому покраска и обработка миниатюр может не занимать много времени без ущерба конечному результату. «Army Painter» выпускает широкий ассортимент продуктов для моделистов, с помощью которых и профессионалы и любители могут с легкостью и удобством придать своим миниатюрам подобающий вид.

От продукции других производетелей краски и инструменты компании «Army Painter» отличаются удачным сочетанием доступной цены и высокого качества. Краски линейки «Warpaints» могут похвастаться большим объемом (18мл, что в полтора раза больше аналогичных красок ближайших конкурентов) и большим содержанием тяжелых пигментов. Высокая концентрация красящего вещества позволяет этим краскам легко ложиться на миниатюру и полностью покрывать поверхность.

Кроме единичных «основных» красок, «Army Painter» также выпускает проилвки «Quickshade», которые без труда придадут миниатюрам объем и при этом не заслонят цвета базовых слоев. В ассортименте компании также есть место для начальных наборов «Starter Sets» и профессиональных «Warpaints Paint Sets». Краски фирмы разлиты в практичные баночки, с помощью которых на палитру можно поместить достаточное количество краски и при этом не держат баночку постоянно открытой.

Для грунтовки миниатюр предназначены специальные спреи фирмы «Army Painter». Благодаря оригинальной формуле и дозатору краска этих спреев не скапливается в углублениях модели и быстро сохнет, а особый матовый оттенок грунта не затянет наносимые сверху цвета.

«Army Painter» также занимается производством клея, кистей, различных модельных инструментов и аксессуаров для варгеймеров. Вся продукция фирмы прошла многочисленные тесты и подходит для работы с металлическими, резиновыми и пластиковыми миниатюрами любых систем и производителей.

Грунтовка the army painter

Спасибо Дмитрию за полезную статью. И хоть я практически не вынес для себя ничего нового, уверен — это поможет многим новичкам.

От себя хотелось бы добавить пару слов по теме. Несколько раз я встречал обсуждение темы безопасности при работе с аэрозольными грунтами. Исключительно все грунтуют за пределами жилого помещения, многие — в ватномарлевых повязках, некоторые — в специальных респираторах.

Давайте разберемся ! К сожалению очень немногие производители пишут состав аэрозольного грунта, в частности это касается импортных спреев. Стандартный состав акрилового грунта\краски будет таков: акриловая смола, пропеллент, растворитель.
Акриловая смола — водная суспензия синтетических смол, в которую добавлены красящие пигменты, стабилизаторы и коалесценты. НЕ токсична.
Пропеллент — как правило смесь пропана и бутана. Сами по себе оба газа НЕ токсичны, по причине того что слабо растворяются в крови. ОГНЕОПАСНЫ. Попадая в воздух пропан и бутан вытесняют кислород, и могут вызвать кислородное голодание. Расчет примерно такой 10% содержание пропан\бутан во вдыхаемом водухе = головокружение через

2 минуты. Хуже может обстоять ситуация, когда производитель использует некачественную смесь, в которой содержится сероводород. Сероводород отрицательно действует на нервную систему и в больших концентрациях может вызвать смертельное отравление.
Все вышеперечисленные газы тяжелее воздуха, т.е. стелятся по земле.
Растворитель — во всех акриловых аэрозолях это вода. Что может быть безопаснее обычной воды ?

А теперь резюме. Как видно из вышепредставленного состава, самым уязвимым звеном является пропеллент. Однако чтобы достичь опасных концентраций с помощью одного грунтовочного баллончика — вам придется очень постараться. Акриловые аэрозоли по прежнему остаются лидерами по безопасности, а при соблюдении разумных мер предосторожности можно исключить все факторы риска.

Тезисно:
— использование ватномарлевых повязок (смоченых водой или сухих) или респираторов — ересь
— в близи открытых источников огня или с сигаретой в зубах — ересь
— выделение под грунтовку отдельного, нежилого помещения (лестничная клетка, балкон) — императороугодное дело.

Use on top of white for an instant blue toned and shaded miniature or on top of blue colours for extra depth and shading. Try experimenting with Warpaints: Barbarian Flesh and Necrotic Flesh for that cold from the grave look — very striking!

Purple Tone

The Quickshade Purple Tone Wash is loaded with deep Purple and heavier dark pigment in the popular Warpaints ink resin base. Use on top of white for an instant purple toned and shaded miniature or on top of purple, red or blue for extra depth and shading. Check the Barbarian flesh example in this entry.
As all the Quickshade Inks, it looks stunning on a metal primer for that Slaaneshi look.
